When to use it

Once an event is over you may no longer need your guests’ contact details. Removing them keeps the event’s history and reports while leaving no personal details behind. It is available for completed and archived events, to the event’s owners. Export anything you must keep before you start.

What is removed and what stays

Removed: guests’ names, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, dietary and accessibility details, company, custom answers and registration form answers, plus their details in announcement recipient lists and the activity history. Their RSVP links stop working.

Kept: RSVP and check-in outcomes, guest categories, meal choices, seats, counts, budget and reports. Guests appear as Guest 1, Guest 2 and so on.

Remove the data

  1. Open the completed or archived event.
  2. Open More event actions and choose Remove guest personal data.
  3. Read what is removed and what stays, type the event name and choose Remove personal data.

This cannot be undone. Afterwards the menu shows the date it was done, and duplicating the event can no longer copy its guest list.

The Remove guest personal data confirmation on a completed event, listing what is removed and kept, with the event name field.
The confirmation lists what is removed and what is kept, and asks for the event name. Select to enlarge.
