Example: an overdue task with an owner moves from To Do to In Progress to Done, and the overdue count drops.

For event planning teams

The handoff matters as much as the task.

A quarterly conference is applied from your approved template: 40-odd tasks land with owners and dependencies. Finance sees the budget, the coordinator does not see payment detail, and the client sees only their portal. On show day, the run of show moves cue by cue and nobody asks "where are we?" in a group chat.

Example scenario: an events team of five
  1. 01

    Give the work owners

Tasks carry an assignee, dependencies, and dates, so blocked work is visible rather than reported.

  2. 02

    Set team access

Give coordinators, finance staff, and viewers access to the work they need.

  3. 03

    Reuse what worked

Turn a delivered event into a template so the next one starts from your actual process, not a memory of it.

  4. 04

    Run the day together

One Run of Show with owners and live status means the whole team is reading the same document.

Team

Team gives you 10 members and 10 active events, with event roles, approvals, and client and vendor portals that do not use a seat.

Before you get started.

How detailed are permissions?

Each person has a role on each event, such as Event Manager, Finance Manager, Check-In Staff or Read-Only Viewer. RunCue checks that role on the server for every action.

Do clients or vendors use up our seats?

No. Only your own team counts toward the member limit. Portal users do not.

Can we standardise how we run events?

Yes. Approved templates add tasks, dependencies, budget lines, and a Run of Show to each new event.
