Track estimates, commitments and final costs
Understand the budget before interpreting the totals.
Set the budget context
Open Budget for the event. Check the budget limit, currency and included cost items. Add or update the planned costs you are allowed to manage. Use notes to explain assumptions that another planner needs to understand.
Keep the numbers distinct
An estimate is an expectation. A commitment is an agreed obligation. A final cost records the outcome. A payment records money paid. Review the label beside each total and do not describe an unrecorded payment as zero spent.
Review changes
When RunCue offers a recalculation review, inspect the affected items and differences before applying it. Review vendor-linked costs and payment schedules together so you do not count the same commitment twice.
Finish the financial review
Reconcile final costs, missing amounts and outstanding payments before reporting the event outcome. Export only the formats available to your plan and role. Financial access can be narrower than general event-editing access.
