Your First Event in RunCue
Follow a small event from account setup through preparation, delivery and review.
1. Get into the right workspace
Create an account, verify your email if requested and finish workspace setup. If someone invited you, accept their invitation instead. Check the workspace name before you begin. Expected result: you can open your own workspace or the team workspace you joined.
2. Create the event
Open Events and choose New event. Work through Event details, Starter plan, and Review and create. For a practice event, use a clearly fictional name and synthetic guest details. Expected result: the event opens with its chosen schedule and starting tasks.
3. Give the work owners
Open the event’s tasks. Add the practical jobs that must happen before doors open, set dates and assign responsible people. Review prerequisites. Invite collaborators with suitable roles. Expected result: each important job has an owner and a deadline.
4. Prepare guests, suppliers and costs
Add guests and RSVP information. Add vendors with contact and booking details. Review estimated, committed and final costs in Budget without treating estimates as payments. On a plan with Seating, create tables and assign attending guests. Expected result: the event plan reflects the people, room and spending you actually expect.
5. Build and rehearse the Run of Show
Add timed cues, assign owners and select the correct day for a multi day event. Review gaps and overlaps. Check the event overview and unresolved tasks before opening doors. Expected result: the team knows the order of activity and who owns each cue.
6. Run the day
Use Event Day and Run of Show to follow activity and record changes. If Check-In is included in your plan and role, choose the event and day, find a guest and record their arrival. Keep plus-one attendance separate when only one person arrives. Expected result: attendance and operational records reflect what happened.
7. Review and finish
Review attendance, outstanding tasks, vendor costs and issues. Open Reports & analytics for the event, check the report scope and export the formats available to your plan. Work through closeout before completing the event. Archive when you want to retain history; do not delete an event simply to tidy the list. Expected result: the event has a reviewed outcome and reusable lessons.
