Question 1

Can I use RunCue for just one event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can plan a single event without setting up a company workspace. Free covers the essentials for a small event; Personal adds more capacity, check-in and seating. Compare the limits on the pricing page.

Question 2

Can I move my existing spreadsheets into RunCue?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can import guests, vendors, tasks, budget lines and Run of Show cues from a CSV file, or start from one of the built-in event templates.

Question 3

Can clients and vendors see only what I share?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Team and Business include client and vendor portals, where people see only the information you share with them. Portal users do not take up a workspace seat. Your internal team can also have different roles for each event.

Question 4

How does the free trial work?

Accepted Answer

You have 14 days to try RunCue with up to 3 active events and 3 workspace members. No payment card is needed. Choose a paid plan to continue with its features and limits, or move to Free when the trial ends. Your data is kept, and Free plan limits apply.

Question 5

Can I get my event data back out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Reports can be downloaded as PDF, with CSV on eligible plans, and calendars can be exported as ICS. Workspace JSON export includes the records you are allowed to access: events and budgets, tasks, guests, vendors, run of show, clients, proposals, contracts, forms and submissions, plus related workspace records. It includes attachment records, not a backup of the uploaded files themselves. Download those files separately. Formats and actions depend on your plan and role; Personal and above include CSV and JSON exports.

Question 6

What support can I use before a client event?

Accepted Answer

Email support@getruncue.com for help with your workspace. The Help Center has setup guides, and you can book a workflow review to walk through your event with the team. Try one event, check your permissions and exports, and rehearse check-in and the run of show before moving a client delivery across.

Question 7

Can I give feedback directly to the product team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The design partner programme is for planners, agencies and corporate teams with an event in the next 90 days. Participants use RunCue on a real event and share notes on planning, vendors, guests, event day and closeout directly with the people building it. Apply through the Design partners link in the footer.

Question 8

Does RunCue use AI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ask Cue, the built-in assistant (currently in beta), answers questions about your events from your own event data, and only shows what you already have access to. It is included from the Personal plan up and during the free trial, with a monthly usage allowance on each plan.

Question 9

What is RunCue?

Accepted Answer

RunCue is event planning and management software. It keeps tasks, guests, RSVPs, seating, vendors, budget and the run of show for each event in one place, and your team uses the same record to run the day and close out afterwards.

Question 10

Who is RunCue for?

Accepted Answer

Event agencies, corporate event teams, venues, and independent or wedding planners. It works for one person planning a single event and for teams running many events at once.

Question 11

Can I plan a personal event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Personal plan includes tasks, guests and RSVPs, seating, vendors, budget, files, timeline, Event Day and reports, and you can invite a collaborator without setting up a company workspace.

Question 12

Can RunCue support multiday events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Run of Show cues, the calendar and Event Day all work across every day of a multiday event, including cues that run past midnight.

Question 13

Can I manage guests and seating?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Guest and RSVP records connect to your seating plans and floor plans, and the same list is used for check-in on the day.

Question 14

Can I run check-in and Event Day in RunCue?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Event Day brings the current schedule, guest check-in, vendor arrivals, critical tasks and live issues into one focused view.

Question 15

Can I reuse an event as a template?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Save any event as a template. Lessons from closeout are reviewed before they are added to your templates, so the next event starts from what actually worked.

Question 16

Can I export reports or calendars?

Accepted Answer

Yes. RunCue supports event reports, PDF and CSV exports, and calendar (ICS) export.

Question 17

Are client and vendor portals available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the Team and Business plans. Clients and vendors see only what you share with them, such as proposals, documents and schedules, and they do not use a workspace seat.

Question 18

How is event data protected?

Accepted Answer

Every request is checked on the server against the person’s role and event. Files are limited to authorised people, and changes are recorded in the activity history.

Question 19

What is included in each plan?

Accepted Answer

Free, Personal, Team and Business each list their limits for active events, workspace members, guests, storage and features. Prices and limits on the pricing page come directly from the billing system.
