Create and review an automation

Automate a specific repeated action and inspect its results.

Check access

Automations require an eligible plan, available rule capacity and permission to manage the affected work. Available triggers and actions depend on the product configuration.

Configure one rule

Open Automations and create a rule. Choose the trigger, conditions and supported actions. For task creation, review the task name, priority, effort and responsibility. For notifications, check the recipient and message.

Review before enabling

Check every branch and validation message before saving or enabling the rule. Start with a narrow condition and synthetic test data where possible. An automation can create or send real work when its trigger fires.

Inspect results

Open run history to see whether the rule ran and whether delivery or actions succeeded. A saved rule is not proof that an external message was delivered. Disable an unwanted rule before correcting its output manually.
