How to import guests from a CSV file

Map spreadsheet columns, review rows and confirm what was imported.

Before you begin

Select the destination event and confirm that your role can create guests and your plan supports bulk operations. Use synthetic data for practice. Keep a copy of the original file. The importer also offers workbook support where shown.

Upload and map

  1. Open Guests & RSVP, choose the destination and open Import. Inside an event’s Guests section, the button is Import guest list.
  2. In Upload, select the file. If a workbook has several worksheets, choose the right one.
  3. In Map columns, match each RunCue field to its source column. Review automatic matches instead of accepting them blindly.
  4. Map all required fields. A source column cannot be assigned to two different fields. If importing across events, check the event mapping too.

Preview and import

Choose Preview import. Review the row errors, duplicate warnings and sample values. Correct the file or mapping before starting the import. Do not leave the event or destination midway through review: a changed destination requires a fresh upload and review.

Check the result

Read the Done summary and inspect the resulting guest list. Partial success is not a reason to import the entire file again. Review failed rows and the destination first; a lost network response can still leave a saved record. Use batch undo only when the importer offers it, and read its protection warnings about records changed since import.
